This is a reproduction print of the historical map “Greece at the Time of the Persian Wars”, drawn by Dr. Charles Müller and engraved by S. Jacobs and I. Dalmont. It was published in London by John Murray as part of Sir William Smith’s Atlas of Ancient Geography, Biblical and Classical.

The hand-colored map depicts the geography of ancient Greece during the Persian Wars, showing regions, provinces, cities, roads, rivers, and mountain ranges. Major locations including Athens, Sparta, and Thebes are clearly marked, while hachures illustrate the mountainous terrain that played an important role in ancient military campaigns.

With its detailed topography, historical place names, and color-coded territories, the map offers a fascinating view of the political and geographical landscape of Greece during the conflicts between the Greek city-states and the Persian Empire.
